Naeroyfjord is just one of the many places in Norway inspiring the hit Disney animation Frozen. Having watched the film, I was so curious and at the same time so excited to see the place in real. So, as we were sailing into Naeroyfjord yesterday, I had that nagging imagination of Queen Elsa singing here way through the spellbinding wonderland. Taking into account the width and depth of the fjord, inch by inch, we sailed deep into Naeroyfjord as far as the ship can safely navigate.
With narrow and steep sided rock rising directly up to 1400 meters and 500 meters below sea level, Naeroyfjord is one of the wildest and most spectacular fjords in Norway. Numerous waterfalls gushing out from its sheer walls and endless rivers flowing across the heavily forested terrain are exceptional natural scenery no one would like missed seeing in this part of the world. A UNESCO World Heritage site, Naeroyfjord also earned a spot as one of the world’s number one heritage sites by the National Geographic Society.
